The Philadelphia Eagles host their division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, on Monday, October 26, at Lincoln Financial Field. The matchup serves as the Week 7 edition of Monday Night Football, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC.
Philadelphia enters the contest with a 2-4 record after losing four consecutive games. The Eagles are dealing with a deep injury crisis that has left their roster thin. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is out after blood clots were found in his calf and lungs. Wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are also sidelined, as is cornerback Nolan Smith.
Several other key players are listed as questionable. Running back Saquon Barkley, guard Landon Dickerson, offensive lineman Jonathan Greenard, and safety Jalyx Hunt may all play. If Barkley misses, the Eagles will rely on their backups, though Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley remain on injured reserve.
Dallas is also struggling, having lost its last two games. The Cowboys combined for 29 points in those contests after scoring 30 or more in each of the previous three weeks. Their offense has had trouble handling blitzes, with quarterback Dak Prescott completing just 20 of 38 passes for 194 scoreless yards when facing extra rushers. The team is favored by 4.5 points, with a total points line of 43.5.
The Eagles defense has allowed opponents to average 4.7 yards per carry this season. Opponents have completed 60.4% of their passes against Philadelphia for an average of 7.0 yards per attempt. The Cowboys have averaged 3.7 yards per carry for Javonte Williams this year, which is lower than his 4.8 average last season.
If Saquon Barkley plays, he has averaged 5.5 yards per carry in the two games he has completed since returning to health. The Eagles will lean on a pass-heavy offense under backup quarterback Tanner McKee, who has started two games in the past and averages 44 dropbacks per contest. The Cowboys aim to exploit the Eagles' offensive line, which has struggled to generate pressure.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC and streamed on Fubo. Fans can follow coverage through the CBS Sports App. The betting odds are set by DraftKings Sportsbook, with the Cowboys as the 4.5-point favorites.
