WorkHawaiʻi hosts resume workshops before Blaisdell Career Expo

Job seekers in Honolulu can attend two free resume workshops at the Dole Office Building tomorrow, October 27. The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Community Services is hosting the sessions to prepare residents for the Career Expo 2026, which takes place Wednesday, October 28, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

The workshops will provide hands-on assistance with creating, updating, and printing resumes. Participants will also receive guidance on interview skills. The Career Expo is scheduled to feature more than 100 employers. These organizations include private sector firms as well as federal, state, and city government agencies.

DCS Director Anton Krucky said the division aims to connect people with meaningful employment. “A thriving workforce ecosystem connects people with meaningful employment opportunities,” Krucky stated. He noted that WorkHawaiʻi is strengthening partnerships to help individuals facing barriers to employment, including those with disabilities and those working toward stable housing.

The morning workshop will run from 9 to 11 a.m. The afternoon session is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Both sessions are located in Suite 755 of the Dole Office Building at 680 Iwilei Road. Job seekers must register for either session through an online form. For more information, Leiala Cook can be reached at (808) 768-5706 or via email at Leiala.Cook@honolulu.gov.

WorkHawaiʻi will also operate the City and County of Honolulu’s DigiLab during the Career Expo. This lab provides hands-on help for job seekers applying for positions across various city departments. The Career Expo will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Neal S. Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
